Dear Mr. Lang:

In accordance with Section 37-60-106 (1 )(c) C.R.S., as amended, Teller County is
requesting that the Colorado Water Conservation Board consider the designation and
approval of flood hazard areas within the unincorporated portions of the county, as
depicted on the Flood Insurance Study for Teller County and Incorporated Areas. The
Flood Insurance Study contains detailed floodplain information for Fountain Creek, East
Fork Fountain Creek, Loy Gulch, Trout Creek, Paint Pony, East Fork Paint Pony and Lovell
Gulch and approximate floodplain information for numerous streams in the county.

We would like the CWCB staff to review the floodplain study entitled "Flood
Insurance Study, Teller County, Colorado, and Incorporated Areas," dated September 30,
1988 for designation and approval at the CWCB's regular meeting scheduled for March
20-21,1997.
