No. 141 <br /> <br />\ <br /> <br />COLORADO WATER CONSERVATION BOARD <br />823 State Centennial Building <br />1313 Sherman Street <br />Denver, Colorado 80203 <br /> <br />) <br /> <br />May 18, 1979 <br /> <br />R E ~ 0 L U T ~ 0 N <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a report entitled "Flood Insurance Study, Town <br />of Dacono, Colorado," which includes floodplain information and <br />data for the Tri-Area Drainage and Tributary, dated January, 1979, <br />has been prepared by Gingery Associates, Inc., under contract with <br />the Federal Insurance Administration; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS; said report describes and outlines the floodplain <br />data and information for the storm and floodwater runoff channels <br />or basins of the study area; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Town of Dacono has requested the Colorado <br />Water Conservation Board to designate and approve the floodplain <br />areas as set forth in the aforesaid report; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Section 37-60-106(1), Colorado Revised Statutes <br />1973, requires the Colorado Water Conservation Board to assist in <br />the prevention of floods and flood damages therefrom; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Sections 31-23-201 and 30-28-111, Colorado <br />Revised Statutes 1973, provide that such legislative bOdies of lOcal <br />jurisdictions may provide zoning regulations for land uses on or <br />along any storm or floodwater runoff channel or basin only after <br />designation and approval by the Colorado Water Conservation Board; <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Section 37-60-106(1) (c), Colorado Revised Statutes <br />1973, directs the Colorado Water Conservation Board to designate and <br />approve storm or floodwater runoff channels or basins and to make <br />such designations available to legislative bodies of local jurisdic- <br />tions; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the staff of the Board has reviewed said report <br />and does hereby recommend to the Colorado Water Conservation Board <br />that the Board designate and approve as floodplain areas those areas <br />inundated by a 100-year flood (intermediate regional flood) as <br />described by the floodwater surface elevations and prOfiles in said <br />report; <br /> <br />) <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Colorado Water <br />Conservation Board in regular meeting assembled in Grand Junction, <br />Colorado, this 18th day of May, 1979, that it does hereby designate <br />and approve as floodplain areas those areas described as being <br />inundated by a 100-year flood as described by the floodwater surface <br />elevations and profiles in said report; and <br />
