<br />e <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />FPR 94-374 <br /> <br />COLORADO WATER CONSERVATION BOARD <br />721 State Centennial Building <br />1313 Shennan Street <br />Denver, Colorado 80203 <br /> <br />September 14, 1994 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Engineering Consultants, Inc. completed a floodplain information report entitled <br />"Floodplain Information Report, Gunnison Riverrromichi Creek, Gunnison, Colorado," dated December, <br />1976, at the request of the City of Gunnison, Gunnison County, and the Colorado Water Conservation <br />Board; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said report includes detailed floodplain information for the Gunnison River and <br />Tomichi Creek; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Colorado Water Conservation Board, as requested by the Board of County <br />Commissioners of Gunnison County, by Resolution No. 69, adopted on July 27, 1977, designated and <br />approved the floodplains described in said report; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a new report entitled "Flood Insurance Study, City of Gunnison, Coiorado, <br />Gunnison County", dated November 16, 1982, has been prepared by the Federal Emergency <br />Management Agency; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said new report includes detailed floodplain information for those portions of the <br />Gunnison River and Tomichi Creek within the corporate limits of the City of Gunnison, as they were <br />in November 1982; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the detailed information contained in said new report is consistent with the detailed <br />information contained in the report previously designated by Resolution No. 69; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Gunnison, Colorado, has requested the Colorado Water Conservation <br />Board to designate and approve the floodplains set forth in the aforesaid new report; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Gunnison, Colorado, has not requested the Colorado Water Conservation <br />Board to rescind any portion of Resolution No. 69; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Section 37-60-106(l)(c), Colorado Revised Statutes, requires the Colorado Water <br />Conservation Board to assist in the prevention of floods and flood damages therefrom; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Sections 31-23-301 and 30-28-111, Colorado Revised Statutes, provide that <br />legislative bodies of local jurisdictions may provide zoning regulations for land uses on or along any <br />storm or floodwater runoff channel or basin only after designation and approval by the Colorado Water <br />Conservation Board; and <br />
