In accordance with Section 37-60-106 (1) (c) C.R.S., San Miguel
County, Colorado, hereby requests designation and approval of the
following storm or floodwater runoff channels or basins as
described in the report enti tl ed "Flood Insurance Study, San Miguel
River, Colorado and Incorporated Areas" prepared by Michael Baker,
Jr. under contract to the Federal Emergency Management Agency:

1. San Miguel River near PlacerviIle
from 4800 feet upstream of Slaughterhouse Gulch to
6800 feet upstream of Slaughterhouse Gulch (about 1/3
mile),

2. San Miguel River near Placerville
from 10,400 feet upstream of Slaughterhouse Gulch to
13,200 feet upstream of Slaughterhouse Gulch (about 1/2
mil e) ,

3. San Miguel River near Placerville
from 14,200 feet upstream of Slaughterhouse Gul ch to
16,800 feet upstream of Slaughterhouse Gulch (about 1/2
mile), and

4. San Miguel River near Telluride
from 16,000 feet upstream of Highway 145 to 26,000
feet upstream of Highway 145 (about 2 miles).
