<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said report contains detailed hydrology and floodplain delineations for the <br />Cache La Poudre River within unincorporated portions of Weld County west of Greeley, Colorado; <br />and <br /> <br />FLOODPLAIN CONSISTENCY <br />WHEREAS, the floodplain hydrology contained in said report is consistent with the <br />floodplain hydrology contained in previously published reports (Table I, Ref. Nos. 1-4), and the <br />floodplain delineations contained in said report revises a portion of the previously published Cache <br />La Poudre floodplain delineations; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the floodplain information contained in said report dated April 1996 will be <br />superseded in the near future by a more comprehensive government floodplain study to be <br />published upon completion and review by appropriate sponsors and agencies; and <br /> <br />C.R.S. AUTHORITY <br />WHEREAS, Section 37-60-106(1)(c), Colorado Revised Statutes, requires the Colorado <br />Water Conservation Board to assist in the prevention of floods and flood damages therefrom; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Sections 31-23-301 and 30-28-111, Colorado Revised Statutes, provide that <br />legislative bodies of local jurisdictions may provide zoning regulations for land uses on or along <br />any storm or floodwater runoff channel or basin only after designation and approval by the <br />Colorado Water Conservation Board; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Section 37-60-106(1)(c), Colorado Revised Statutes, directs the Colorado <br />Water Conservation Board to designate and approve storm or floodwater runoff channels or basins <br />and to make such designations available to legislative bodies of local jurisdictions; and <br /> <br />COMPLIANCE WITH CWCR TECHNICAL STANDARDS <br />WHEREAS, the detailed hydrologic and l1ydraulic information for the Cache La Poudre <br />River is consistent with the requirements for detailed hydrologic and hydraulic information listed <br />under the Board's "Rules and Regulations for the Oesignation and Approval of Floodplains and of <br />Storm or Floodwater Runoff Channels in Colorado" (2 CCR 408-1); and <br /> <br />DESIGNATION AND APPROVAL ACTION <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Colorado Water Conservation Board in <br />regular meeting assembled in Salida, Colorado, this 27th day of September 1999, that it does <br />hereby designate and approve as detailed information the storm or floodwater runoff channels and <br />basins within Weld County described by 100-year floodplain delineations for the Cache La Poudre <br />River in said report dated April 1996; and <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Board is directed to send a <br />certified copy of this resolution to the Weld County Floodplain Administrator and Messner <br />Engineering Associates. <br /> <br />2 <br />
