The proposed improvements shown on this sheet include a spill structure on

the Denver Highline Canal and a portion of the outfall sewer along Downing Street.

This will provide a formal designated spill area into the proposed detention

facility. The design of the structure is to be in accordance with the recommenda-

tions contained in the Denver Highline Canal Master Plan (Reference-8).

The proposed 63" x 98" HERCP storm sewer along South Downing and Panama Drive

will daylight at the Denver Highline Canal along the property line between the

residences located just north and east of the South Downing Street intersection.

The 63" x 98" HERCP is required because of the hydraulic condition at the outlet

(i.e., water surface in canal) and the relatively flat topography.

The existing IS-inch RCP storm sewer can either be removed or if there is

adequate room abandoned in place. In either case the triple inlet on the north

side of Panama Drive and the double inlet on the south side of Panama Drive (just

west of South Marion Street) should remain operational as well as the outlet pipe

in to the Denver Highline Canal. This will provide for local drainage from Panama

Drive and South Marion Street.
