The undersigned attended a coordination meeting with ~~. Jerry Olsen, <br />FIA Coordinator for Colorado, on the above dates. The purpose of the <br />meetings was to ~xplain the rate studies, to coordinate input to the <br />studies, and determine areas requiring detailed study and areas requiring <br />approximate study. The meeting was also to aid in obtaining a T & C <br />estimate. <br /> <br />2. A meeting with Mesa County officials was held at 9:30 a.m. on 13 January <br />1975. A list of those in attendence is attached. At the meeting it was <br />determined that a short reach ( 1/2 mile) of West Creek at Gateway, the <br />Colorado River from 21 Road upstream to 29 3/4 Road and two washes west of <br />Grand Junction should be studied in detail. Roan Creek for 1 mile upstream <br />trom DeBeque; Plateau and Buzzard Creel< for about 1-1 1/2 miles near <br />CDllbran;' Mesa Creek from Hesa town to Plateau Creek (2 miles); Dolores <br />River and 1 mile of West Creek at Gateway; the streams in the 4~ita FPI <br />report; and the Colorado River froIn 29 3/4 Road to Pulisade,would be studied <br />by approximate methods. Mesa County will furnish mapping in the ~ta area. <br /> <br />3. A meeting was held with Town of Rangely officials at 3:00 p.m. on <br />13 January 1975 to ascertain those areas requiring detailed study to establish <br />flood insurance rates. Basically 3 side washes and the White River will need <br />detailed study. Rangely has no detailed topography but may participate in <br />establishing floodways. A list of thone at the meeting is attachcd. <br /> <br />4. A meeting was held with Garficld COW1ty Planning offieals and Jerry Olsen, <br />FIAfo determine areas for detailed study for flood insurance rates and also <br />areas for approximate study. Thone in attendance at the meeting are indicated <br />on the inclosed list. Detailed studies are requested at: <br /> <br />(1) Roaring Fork River from Cathcrine Bridge downstream to Colorado <br />Highway 133 bridge at Carb'Cllldale. <br /> <br />(2) Roaring Fork River from about 3/4 mile above Cattle Creek to about <br />1 mile below Cattle Creek and Cattle Creek upstream from Roaring <br />Fork River to State Highway 82. <br /> <br />(3) Side drainages along north bank of Colorado River from about rail- <br />road yards to ~litchell Creek near Glenwood Springs. <br /> <br />--. ~~ " <br /> <br />. .,~,-"",;.~ . - .-....,...... <br /> <br />~ ~ <br />
