WHEREAS, Section 37-60-10E\(l) (c), Colorado Revised Statutes
1973. directs the Colorado Water Conservation Board to designate
and approve storm or floodwate~ runoff channels or basins and ,to
make such, designations available to legislative, bodies of local
jurisdictions; and "

WHEREAS, the staff of the Board has reviewed said new report
and does hereby recommend to the' Colorado Water' Conservation
Board that the Board designate and approve as floodplain areas
those are.as inundated by a lOa-year, flood (intermediate regional
flood) 'for Southeast Canon Dr<>.inage, , Forked Gulch, West Forked
Gulch, "and Sand Creek, as deScribed by the floodwater surface
elevations and profiles in saip report;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Colorado Water Conser-
vation Board in regular meeting assembled in Denver, Colorado,
this 15th day of March, 1984, that it, does hereby designate and
approve as floodplain areas those areas, described as being
inundated by a laO-year flood for Southeast Canon Drainage,
Forked Gulch, West Forked Gulcll, and Sand Creek, as described by
the floodwater surface elevations and profiles in said new
report; and

BE IT FURTHER RES,OLVED that the Secretary of the Board is
directed to send ,a certified cC)py of this resolution to the City
of Canon City and the Federal Emergency Management Agency.

I certify that the foregoing is a true and correct copy of a
resolution adopted by a majo~ity vote of the members of' the
Colorado Water Conservation Board in regular session assembled at
Denver, Colorado, on the 15th day of March, 1984, at which a
