<br />~ <br /> <br />THE URBAN DRAINAGE AND FLODD CONTROL DISTRICT <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. ~&; , SERIES of 19B6 <br />(Acceptance of Flood Hazard Area Delineation Report <br />for Quail Creek and Tributaries and McKay Lake Basin) <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Board has previously established a Work Program for 1984 <br /> <br />(Resolution No. 6B, Series of I9B3) which included the delineation of flood <br /> <br />hazard areas; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Board has previously authorized the Executive Director to <br /> <br /> <br />execute agreements with Broomfield, Westminster and a qualified engineering <br /> <br /> <br />consultant for the completion of a flood hazard area del;n~ation study for Quail <br /> <br /> <br />Creek and McKay lake Basin (Resolution No. 43, Series of 1984 and Resolution No. <br /> <br />33, Series of 19B5); and <br />WHEREAS, the Board has previously indicated its desir~ that the results of <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />such studies be provided to the local governments so as to assist such local <br /> <br />governments in meeting the requirements of HB 1041; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Executive Director has executed an agre~ent with Greenhorne & <br /> <br /> <br />O'Mara, Inc. for a flood hazard area delineation study of ~uail Creek and McKay <br /> <br />lake Basin; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a report II Flood Haza rd Area Deli neat i on I Qua'i1 Creek and McKay <br /> <br /> <br />lake Basinu dated July, 1986 has been completed by Greenhorne & O'Mara, Inc. for <br /> <br /> <br />Quail Creek and McKay lake Basin; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT: <br /> <br />1. The Board of Directors of the Urban Drainage and Flood Control <br /> <br /> <br />District accepts the report IIFlood Hazard Area Delineation, Quail <br /> <br /> <br />Creek and Tributaries and McKay lake Basin", July, 1986 by Greenhorne <br /> <br /> <br />& O'Mara, Inc. and recommends its use as a guide in future planning <br /> <br />related to the floodplains contained therein; <br /> <br /> <br />2. The Board of Directors of the Urban Drainage and Flood Control <br /> <br /> <br />District recommends that Adams County, Broomfield and Westminster <br /> <br /> <br />adopt the report and regulate the 100-year floodplains defined in the <br /> <br />report; and <br /> <br />3. The Board of Directors of'the Urban Drainage anq Flood Control <br /> <br /> <br />District submit the report for designation and approval by the <br /> <br /> <br />Colorado Water Conservation Board as stated in Section <br /> <br />. <br />
