<br />. <br /> <br />FPR 266 <br /> <br />\ <br /> <br />COLORADO WATER CONSERVATION BOARD <br />721 State,Centennial Building <br />1313 Sherman Street <br />Denver, Colorado 80203 <br /> <br />November 18, 1986 <br /> <br />R'~ li Q k ~ T 1 Q N <br /> <br />'WHEREAS, a floodplain information report' entitled "Flood <br />Hazard Area Delineation, Quail Creek & Tributaries and McKay <br />~ake Basin, City of Broomfield and ~ity of Westminster," dated <br />JUly, 1986, has been prepared by Greenhorne & O'Mara, Inc., <br />Consul ting Engineers, under <::ontract with the Urban Drainage <br />and Flood Control District; and ' <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said, report describes and outlines the floodplain <br />data and information for the storm and floodwater runoff <br />channels or basins of the study area; and' <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Urban Drainage and Flood Control District, the <br />City of Broomfield, and the City of Westminster have requested <br />the Colorado Water Conservation Board to designate and approve <br />the floodplain areas as set forth ln fl'ie atoresaid repOL t-;-and- <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Section 37-60-106(1)(c), Colorado Revised <br />Statutes, requires the ColoradO Water Conservation Board to <br />assist in th~ ~revention of floods and flood damages therefrom; <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Sections 31':'23~301 and 30-28:"'111, ColoradO Revised <br />Statutes, provide that sUCh legislative bodies of local <br />jurisdictions may provide zoning regulations for land uses on <br />or along any storm or floodwater runoff channel or basin only <br />after designation and apProval by the Colorado Water <br />Conservation Board; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Section 37-60-106(1)(c), ColoradO Revised <br />Statutes, directs the Colorado Water Conservation Board to <br />designate and approve storm or floodwater runoff channels or <br />basins and to make such designations available to legislative <br />bodies of local jurisdictions; and <br /> <br />1977E <br />
