<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />FPR 94,351 <br /> <br />COLORADO WATER CONSERVATION BOARD <br />721 State Centennial Building <br />1313 Sherman Street <br />Denver, Colorado 80203 <br /> <br />January 20, 1994 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Kiowa Engineering Corporation, under contract to the Urban Drainage and <br />Flood Control District, completed a floodplain information report entitled "Flood Hazard Area <br />Delineation, Granby and Sable Drainageways" in September 1990; arid <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Colorado Water Conservation Board, as requested by the Urban Drainage <br />and Flood Control District, by Resolution No. 311-91, adopted on January 17,1991, approved and <br />. designated the floodplains described in said report; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Federal Emergency Management Agency completed a floodplain <br />information report entitled "Flood Insurance Study, City of Aurora, Colorado. Adams, Douglas and <br />Arapahoe Counties" dated September 30, 1992; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said report dated September 30, 1992 included detailed floodplain information <br />, for the Sable Ditch which was inconsistent with the detailed information for the Sable Ditch <br />previously designated by Resolution No. 311-91; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Colorado Water Conservation Board, as requested by the City of Aurora, <br />by Resolution No, 93,334, adopted on May 7, 1993, approved and designated the floodplains <br />described in said report dated September 30, 1992; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Resolution No. 93-334 did not rescind any portion of Resolution 311-91 and <br />did not approve and designate the detailed floodplain information contained in said report dated <br />September 30, 1992 regarding the Sable Ditch; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a new report entitled "Sable Ditch at Sable Blvd. and 23rd Avenue, <br />REQUEST FOR LETfER OF MAP REVISION", dated August 1993, has been prepared by the <br />City of Aurora Engineering Division; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said new report includes detailed floodplain information for that portion of <br />the Sable Ditch from the downstream end of its crossing of the intersection of Sable Boulevard <br />and 23rd Avenue upstream approximately 460 feet; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the information contained in said new report revises, on the basis of <br />completed flood control improvements and a new hydraulic analysis, the detailed information <br />contained in Resolution No. 311-91 for the said reach of the Sable Ditch only; and <br />
