Plan Maintenance - To keep the plan current, it <br />should be reviewed periodically. Factual information (names, <br />titles, addresses, phone numbers, etc.) must be verified. Any <br />changes should be entered on replacement pages, dated and <br />identified, and distributed to all plan holders. Appendix J is <br />a list of offices and organizations that received a copy of <br />this plan. The list should be used when new revisions to this <br />plan are distributed. Agency Directors should take <br />responsibility for keeping the plan current with respect to <br />their agency, and also for informing alternates and other key <br />personnel of subsequent revisions. <br /> <br />5. Public Education/Information - Public preparedness <br />for a flood emergency is accomplished by means of personal <br />contact by City and County offic;als. It should at minimum <br />include all residences and businesses located in the 100-year <br />floodplain of the Arkansas River. Door-to-door contact, <br />newspaper ads, and flyers mailed to the addresses of people <br />affected are effective public education/information tools. <br />Again, private individuals should be aware of what is expected <br />of them in the event of flooding. <br /> <br />20 <br />
