Data was hand read from the charts

from July 18, 1967 to November 9, 1975. The data from November 16, 1975

to October 6, 1977 was digitized, using a Hewlett-Packard 9820 calculator

and the HP digitizer.

Some of the missing data was estimated by means of regression-correlation

procedures. Cl was correlated with C3, C5, C7 and Leadville. The

following equations were obtained:

from C3

Y = .0713 + .360lX; R2= .265

from C5

R2= -
Y = .0315 + .6272X; .444

from C7

2
Y = .0289 + .556X; R = .397

from Leadville

2
Y = .0419 + .4828X; R = .683

Times when the clock was stopped and the precipitation which fell in that

time period are given in the following table.

Clock Stopped

Chart Off

Total Precipitation

751130
760213
760528
760915
761130
770322
770417
770503
770516

760202
760517
760905
761119
770301
770406
770422
770505
770525

.72
2.01
4.55
2.40
1.96
.60
.23
.05
.15
