Selection of specific technical solutions to drainage

problems and evaluation of benefits to be derived from drainage improve-

ments required continuing consultation with officials of government enti-

ties who have responsibilities and interests in the area.

During the first phase, Phase A, of the Little Dry Creek drainage study

meetings were held with planning, engineering, maintenance, and adminis-

trative representatives of Arapahoe County, the City of Englewood, the

City of Cherry Hills Village, the City of Greenwood Village and Douglas

County to discuss planning concepts and to select specific design features.

The Urban Drainage and Flood Control Disttict personnel were regularly con-

sulted and advised of progress.

State and Federal agencies were also contacted to develop design criteria.

These included the following:

1. Colorado State Engineer's Office

2. U.S. Army, Corps of Engineers

3. U.S. Department of Agriculture, Soil Consetvation Service

4. U.S. Department of the Interior, Geological Survey and Bureau

of Reclamation

Meetings with personnel of the foregoing organizations were also held

during the second phase of the study, Phase B, to review progress in the

development of the preliminary Little Dry Creek drainage plan. Also during

the study preliminary drainage plan information was supplied to a number of

city officials, other consulting engineers, and individuals who were inter-

ested in the area.

-48-
