t:~,--- ~~

./1'"_-::-"

options "BCS" and "REMOTE" are equivalent.
, B. Cross-Section "Specific Options.
Several options exist that are specifically related to cross-
sections plots in either format or type of data. These include
options to: plot sections starting at the left bank station and
ending at the right bank station (plot only the "channel"), plot
only certain sections within a given data set, plot computed water
surface e1evati9ns, and speci fy line and symbol option for each
curve. A positive value for "PLCHAN" causes the program to plot
only the channel portion of the cross-section. Specifying an
array of section nunDers for variable "SECTIO" causes only those
sections to be plotted. If the user wishes to plot a certain set
of consecutive cross-sections within a data set, he/she may specify
the initial section (most downstream) section as variable "STAB"
and the last section to be plotted (most upstream) as variable "STAE".
Variable "OUTFRM" controls plotting of computed water surface
elevations on the cross-section plot. Three options exist to
either eliminate the water surface, to include it, or to write
geometric data on a tape for future three-dimensional plotting with
water surface elevations.
Currently, the cross-section module has the capability of plot-
ting 14 curves. Briefly, these curves represent the following data:

Curve number

.

1

Description
The ground profile as entered on the "GR" and

"X4" cards.

..

27
