.

"2" - in addition to general graph labels, a legend block is produced
to identify each plotted curve.
GLBL - specifies the first user input graph label containing general
information.

SLOC - specifies the second user input graph label containing more
specHi c infonnation.
XLBL - specifies the x-axis alphanumeric label.
VLBL - specifies the y-axis alphanumeric label.

Other variables pertinent to GCS software include:
XLAB + VLAB - controls axes labeling. The user can eliminate either the
numeric or the alphanumeric or both labels.
AXES - the user can add a grid background with the axes.

CalComp fixes the size of lettering of axes labels. However, the user
can control the lettering heighth of other labels or of GCS labels by utilizing
the variables below. Ca1comp expects lettering sizes in inches. GCS converts
inches into hardware character sizes unless the 1ettedng heighth is greater
than 0.99 inches. In that case, an integer from one to four would indicate
one of four sizes of GCS generated hardware charactero. Applicable lettering
heighth control variables are:
HLGLB - controls the label size of GLBL, the general user input label
HLSLOC - controls the label size of SLOC, the specific user input label
- HLXLB - controls the x-axis alphanumeric label size (GCS only)
HLVLB - controls the y-axis alphanumeric label size (GCS only)
HLLEGD - controls the curve label size in the legend block

~ !

..

20

..
