' The upper alluvial valle <br /> <br /> <br />seotion between Badito and Mile 47 varies in width from about 1/4 ile <br /> <br /> <br />to 1/2 mile and is well covered with top ,soil. Throughout the can on <br /> <br />section the walls are nearly perpendicular, rising from-a very nar ow <br /> <br />and barren valley floor to a maximum height of about 500 feet. Be ween <br /> <br />the lower end of the canyon section and the mouth of the river, th <br /> <br /> <br />valley widens out," a maximum of about 3/4 mile and is covered With a <br /> <br /> <br />fairly homogeneous alluvium~ The topography of the watershed rangjS <br /> <br /> <br />from mountainous terrain west of Badito to rough and broken to rol ing <br /> <br /> <br />pl&ins east of that place.
