No. 136 <br /> <br />COLORADO WATER CONSERVATION BOARD <br />823 state centennial Building <br />1313 Sher~an street <br />Denver, Colorado 80203 <br /> <br />) <br /> <br />May 18, 1979 <br />R E ~ 0 L U T ~ Q N <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a floOdplain information report entitled "Major <br />Drainageway Planning, SlaughterhOuse Gulch, City of Littleton, " <br />dated May, 1974, has been prepared by Frasier and Gingery, Inc., <br />at the request of the city of Li~tleton; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said report describes and outlines the floodplain <br />data and information for the sto~m and floodwater runoff channels or <br />basins of the study area; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the city of Littleton has requested the COlorado <br />Water Conservation Board to desi~nate and approve the floodplain <br />areas as set forth in the afores~id report; and <br /> <br />) <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Section 37-60~106(1), ColoradO Revised Statutes <br />1973, requires the Colorado Water Conservation Board to assist in <br />the prevention of floods and flood damages therefrom; and <br /> <br />WHERE.AS, Sections 31-23-201 and 30-28-111,Colorado <br />Revised Statutes 1973, provide tbat such legislative bodies of local <br />jurisdictions may provide zoning regulations for land uses on or <br />along any storm orfloodwaterru60ff channel or basin only after <br />designation and approval by the COlorado Water Conservation Board; <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Section 37-60~106(1) (c), ColoradO Revised Statutes <br />1973, directs the ColoradO Water Conservation Board to designate and <br />approve storm or floodwater runoff channels or basins and to make <br />such designations available to legislative bodies of local jurisdic- <br />tions; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the staff of the Board has reviewed said report <br />and does hereby recommend to the Colorado Water Conservation Board <br />that the Board designate and approve as floodplain areas those areas <br />inundated by a 100-year flood (intermediate regional flood) as <br />, described by the floodwater surface elevations and prOfiles in said <br />report; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the ColoradO Water <br />Conservation Board in regular meeting assembled in Grand Junction, <br />colorado, this 18th day of May, 1979, that it does hereby designate <br />and approve as floodplain areas those areas described as being <br />inundated by a 100-year flood as described by the floodwater surface <br />elevations and prOfiles in said report; and <br /> <br />, <br />, <br />
