2.) Renohill-Buick-Lithe Association: Sloping to steep, loamy

soils that have a loamy to clayey subsoiI; moderately deep and deep

ovcr shale or sandstone; on uplands.

This is the predominant soil a~sociation In the Big Ilry Creek

Basin and includes most of the central part of the study area. These

soils arc slowly to moderately permeable with a generally high swelling

potential. Runoff is moderate to rapid with slight to moderate crosion.

This soil association IS composed mainly of Renohill Soils (loam 5"

surface layer;cl ay loam subsoil wi th ,;hale at 26" depths ovcrlain "i th

lime deposits), Buick Soils (loam 6" surface l:lyer with a sanely clay

loam subsoil-lime at 12" depth), Lithe Soi ls (silty clay ]oan~ genera]]y

limy 3" surface layer, 13" layer clay or sil ty cl ['y subso:\l and cl ayey

shede at about 39" depth) and other llllnor soi 15.

undulating; loamy soils that have a clayey to loamy subsoil; developed

In outwash; on uplands and terraces.

This soil association occurs In the area of South Broad"ay Avenue

within the Big Dry Creek Basin.
