<br />Section 2S, T5S, R68W, to East Arapahoe Road. <br /> <br />This reach of the <br /> <br />channel reflects foresight in good land planning as the channel <br /> <br />meanders through an extensive greenbelt. <br /> <br />This greenbelt extends <br /> <br />north of East Arapahoe Road into sections 23 and 24, T55, R68W, <br /> <br /> <br />through an area called Dekoevend park. <br /> <br /> <br />In the north central part of Section 23, the channel passes <br /> <br />through an area of large private homesites. <br /> <br />North of Orchard Road, <br /> <br />the channel continues through a ne\vl)' <,'eelicated open green area <br /> <br />which is a part of the Green Oaks Development. <br /> <br />From South Clarkson <br /> <br />Street to Progress Park the channel meanders through a part I)' confined <br /> <br /> <br />corridor among numerous business, i:ommercial, and residential sites. <br /> <br /> <br />The channel is relatively unconf:in,cd 3S it continues through Progress <br /> <br /> <br />Park and across Belleview Avenue ioto Englewood Park. As the channel <br /> <br /> <br />exits Progress Park at South Windefmere Street, it passes under two <br /> <br /> <br />railroad bridges and the South Sanfa Fe Drive Bridge through a <br /> <br /> <br />comnercial-industrial area to the South Platte River. <br /> <br />C.) A field inspection of the cllannc!, \\'as made by those principal!)' <br /> <br />involvecl In the preparation of this report. <br /> <br />Photographs were taken of <br /> <br />all obvious potential flood hazards [or use in the flood plain analysis. <br /> <br />Aerial photographs and topographic mapping were supplied b)' the Urban <br /> <br />Drainage and Flood Control District. <br /> <br />Quadrangle maps by the Unitcd <br /> <br />States Geological Survey were used to define and analyze the entire <br /> <br /> <br />druinage basin ;lnd sub-basins and their relation to the surrouncl.ing urea. <br /> <br />-5- <br />
