S. Army Corps of Engineers, Albuquerque <br />District, has completed for the Town of Granada and the Cowlty of <br />Prowers Flood Plain Information Report, Wolf Creek, Granada, Prowers <br />County, Colorado, dated April 1974; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said Flood Pla~n Information Report outlines and <br />describes the flood water runoff channels within the above described <br />areas; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Article l49-l-il(4), Colorado Revised Statutes <br />1963, requires that the Colorado Water Conservation Board designate <br />and approve storm or flood water l:unoff channels and to make such <br />designations available to legislat:ive bodies of local jurisdictions; <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Article l39-60~1, Colorado Revised Statutes 1963, <br />provides that such cities, towns, incorporated areas and local <br />jurisdictions may provide zoning ~egulat:ions for any storm or flood <br />water runoff channel only after designation and approval by the <br />Colorado Water Conservation Board; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Town of Grsnada mld the County of Prowers have <br />requested the Colorado Water Conservatiml Board to designate and <br />approve the flood hazard areas as set forth in the aforesaid U. S. <br />Army Corps of Engineers Flood Plain Information Report; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the staff of the Board has reviewed said Flood <br />Plain Information Report and does hereby recommend to the Colorado <br />Water Conservation Board that said Boal:d designate and approve as <br />flood hazard areas those areas set forth in the report as being <br />subject to an intermediate regional flood; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RE:SOLVED by the Colorado Water <br />Conservation Board in regular meeting assembled in Denver, Colorado, <br />this 4th day of December 1974 that it does hereby designate and <br />approve as flood hazard areas those areas described as being inundated <br />by an intermediate regional flood as set forth in the Flood Plain <br />Information Report for Wolf Creek Granada, Prowers County, Colorado, <br />dated April 1974; and ' <br /> <br />\.. <br />
