The ditch does not have enough capacity for the 100-

year flood and as a result, flow from South Tributary VI joins

with the flow from Brantner Gulch in this area and spreads out

over the Fairgrounds area. The Platte River flood inundates the

area east of the County Fairgrounds entrance road. This ground

area is primarily a paved or gravel surface.

the Adams County Regional Park, and travels to the Platte River.

The lOa-year Platte River flood inundates the most easterly

portions of this Reach. This area is presently undeveloped.

Therefore, there are no structures located in the laO-year

floodplain.

North Regional Park Tributary VII (Sheets 37-40)

North Tributary VII is located in Adams County. It origi-

nates east of Quebec Street, north of East 136th Avenue, and

continues southeasterly to and along Riverdale Road through the

County Regional Park to the South Platte River.

The channel west of Riverdale Road consists of a rather

wide, deep earth channel on a moderate grade with slightly

steep side slopes. Areas adjacent to the channel in this Reach

are unimproved; therefore, structural flood damages in this

Reach are not a concern. The lOa-year flood is contained within

the channel banks. The culvert at Riverdale Road, however, does

not have adequate capacity to convey the laO-year flow. As a

result, the water overtops Riverdale Road, floods an approximate

600 foot length of the road, and crosses Riverdale Road to flow

into the North Regional Park area.

Once flood water crosses Riverdale Road, flow combines with

runoff from South Tributary VI, inundates the northern area of
