<br />7.0 OTHER STUDIES <br /> <br />In August 1985, the SCS published a report of the detailed analysis of <br />Parachute Creek in the vicinity of Parachute, and Roan Creek in the <br />vicinity of DeBeque, Colorado (Reference 4). The SCS conducted the <br />technical studies and prepared the report according to a Plan of Work <br />between the SCS and CWCB dated December 1982. <br /> <br />The COE, Sacramento District, prepared an analysis of the Colorado River <br />floodplain from DeBeque to Glenwood Springs which was publ ished by the <br />CWCB (Reference 5). <br /> <br />In December 1986, the Town of Parachute requested J. E. Langford and <br />Associates to check certain cross sections used in the floodplain <br />analysis of Parachute Creek and to review the results of the technical <br />studies performed by the SCS.
