in February 1980 (Reference 1). The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers work
was revised by the study contractor for this study to reflect changes in
Manning's "n" value, bridge codings, and flood plain delineation. The
Uncompahgre River flooding was revised from station 1244.5 to station
1698.5 in and around Montrose. The CWCB has concurred with these revi-
sions.

A revised Flood
(Reference 13).
of the Montrose

Insurance Study
The results of
County study.

for Montrose County is being prepared
this revised study concur with the results

A hydrology report was completed by MSM Consultants, Inc., in April 1979;
it included the unincorporated areas of Montrose and Delta COunties (Refer-
ence 14). All technical information from the hydrology report was used
in preparation of this study.

A flood plain information and urban drainage report for the City of
Montrose was prepared by Hydro-Triad, Ltd., in April 1979 (Reference 2).
The study included Montrose Arroyo, Cedar Creek, and Dry Cedar Creek.
For Montrose Arroyo, the 10-year profile downstream of the Niagara Street
bridge (east corporate limit, Montrose) in conjunction with the 100-year
profile from the Gingery study (Reference 3) was used to calculate FHFs
in Montrose.

A flood control and drainage plan report for the City of Montrose was
prepared by Gingery Associates, Inc., in May 1981 (Reference 3). The
report included Montrose Arroyo and Cedar Creek. The 100-year profile
for Montrose Arroyo downstream of the Niagara Street bridge (east corpo-
rate limit, Montrose) was used in conjunction with the Hydro-Triad report
(Reference 2) to calculate the FHFs. Floodway calculations were not
attempted for MontrOse Arroyo in Montrose due to the flow diversions.

A Flood Hazard Boundary Map (FHBM) was published for the City of Montrose
in 1974 (Reference 15). The analysis done for the FHBM is more approxi-
mate than that used in this study; therefore, this study supersedes the
FHBM.

7.0 LOCATION OF DATA

Information concerning the pertinent data used in preparation of this
study can be obtained by contacting the Natural and Technological Hazards
Division, FEMA, Denver Federal Center, Building 710, Box 25267, Denver,
Colorado 80225-0267.

8. 0 BIBLIOGRAPHY AND REFERENCES

1.
