The June 10, 1952 flood of record of 3150
cfs on Lake Cl:eek corresponds to an approximate 4Q-year
frequency storm at the gage site. On the Arkansas River,
the June 28, 1957 flood of record of 5360 cfs corresponds to
greater than a IOOO-year frequency storm at the gage site.
By methods outlined in the hydrologic analysis of this
report, these storms could be transferred to the study
reaches fOl: a more accurate representation of flooding in
the study area.

TABLE 3*

HISTORICAL PEAK DISCHARGES
LAKE CREEK - LAKE COU~TY, COLORADO
USGS STREA~GAGE (07084500)

Year

Date

nischarp,e (cfs)
2490
2580
3150
2190
2650
2160
2030
2570

1946
1947
1952
1957
1965
1970
1972
1978

June 10
June 8
June 10
June 28
June 20
May 27
June 7
June 15

.

(Information for Table 2 and 3 taken from Reference 2)

Nu historicsl streamgage data exist~ for the study reach on
Evanl; Gulch.

~13-

-14-
