No. 145 <br /> <br />) <br /> <br />COLORADO WATER CONSERVATION BOARD <br />, 823 State Centennial Building <br />1313 Sherman Street <br />Denver, Colorado 80203 <br /> <br />December 5, 1979 <br /> <br />li E ! ~ 1 Q I I Q N <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a report entitled "Flood Insurance Study, Town of <br />Nederland, Colorado," which includes floodplain information and data <br />for Middle Boulder Creek and North Beaver Creek, dated February, 1979, <br />has been prepared by Howard Needles Tammen & Bergendoff under contract <br />with the Federal Insurance Administration; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said report describes and outlines the floodplain <br />data and information for the storm and floodwater runoff channels or <br />basins of the study area; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the town of Nederlandhas requested the Colorado <br />Water Conservation Board to designate and approve the floodplain areas <br />as~set forth in the aforesaid report; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Section. 37-60-106 (1), Colorado Revised Statutes <br />1973, requires the Colorado Water Conservation Board to assist in the <br />prevention of floods and flood damages therefrom; and <br /> <br />. WHEREAS, Sections 31-23-201 and 30-28-111, Colorado Revised <br />Statutes 1973, provide that such legislative bodies of local jurisdic- <br />tions may provide zoning regulations for land uses on or along any <br />storm or floodwater runoff. channel or basin only after designation <br />and approval by the Colorado Water Conservation Board; and <br /> <br />. WHEREAS, Section 37-60-106 (1) (c), Colorado Revised Statutes <br />1973, directs the Colorado Water Conservation Board to designate and <br />approve storm or floodwater runoff channels or basins and to make such <br />designations available to legislative bodies of local jurisdictions; <br />and <br /> <br />\ <br />J <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the staff of the Board has reviewed said report and <br />does hereby recommend to the Colorado Water Conservation Board that the <br />Board designate and approve as floodplain areas those areas inundated <br />by a 100-year flood (intermediate regional flood) as described by the <br />floodwater surface elevations and profiles in said report; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Colorado Water Conser- <br />vation Board in regular meeting assembled in Denver, Colorado, this <br />5th day of December, 1979, that it does. hereby designate and approve <br />as floodplain areas those areas described as being inundated by a <br />100-year flood as described by the floodwater surface elevations and <br />profiles in said report; and <br />
