<br />Property zoned as a flood plain (open area) and deeded to a <br /> <br />governmental entity would require maintenance expenditures of ahout <br /> <br />$3,500 to $4,500 per mile of channel reach annually along Big Dry <br /> <br />Creek. <br /> <br />This expenditure would be adequate for performing routine <br /> <br />maintenance, such as mowing and trash cleanup and removal. <br /> <br />\\i thout <br /> <br />proper maintenance and management, the flood plain area could become <br /> <br />a site for refuse disposal by caroless citizens, vegetative growth <br /> <br />would accelerate, and the general appearance of the flood plain would <br /> <br />become a detriment to the community, <br /> <br />C.)
