Corps of Engineers, Albuquerque District, <br /> <br />has completed a flood plain information report for the St. Charles <br /> <br />River in the vicinity of Pueblo, Colorado; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said flood plain information report outlines and <br /> <br />describes the storm or flood runoff channels within the above described <br /> <br />areas; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS. Article 149-1-11(4), Colorado Revised Statutes <br /> <br />1963. requires that the ColoradO Water Conservation Board designate <br /> <br />and approve storm or flood water r.unoff channels and to make such <br /> <br />designations to legislative bodies of local jurisdictions; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS. Article l39~60-l. Colorado Revised Statutesl963. <br /> <br />provides that such cities, towns, incorporated areas. and local juris- <br /> <br />dictions shall provide zoning regulations for any storm or flood <br /> <br />water.runoff channel only after designation and approval by the <br /> <br />Colorado Water Conservation Board; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Pueblo Regional Planning Commission has re- <br /> <br />quested the Colorado Water Conservation Board to designate and approve <br /> <br />the flood hazard areas as set forth in the aforesaid U. S. Corps of <br /> <br />Engineers Flood plain Information Report; and <br /> <br />- WHEREAS, - the - staff -cif the Board has reviewed said flood <br /> <br />plain information report and recommends to the Colorado Water Con- <br /> <br />, <br />servation Board that said Board designate and approve as flood hazard <br />
