In a letter dated
July 10,2000, Ms. Vera B. Stepanek, P.E., Rocky Mountain Consultants, Inc., requested that FEMA
revise the FIRM and FIS report to show the effects of construction of the Broomfield Town Center
project along City Park Channel. The project included extension of the culverts at West 120th Avenue;
realignment and channelization along City Park Channel from just upstream to approximately 1,460 feet
upstream of West l20th Avenue; construction of culverts at East First Avenue and Jefferson Court;
construction of a drop structure approximately 1,460 feet upstream of West 120th Avenue; and other
improvements along the split-flow area north of West I 20th Avenue. This request follows up on a
Conditional Letter of Map Revision issued on July 16, 1997.

All data required to complete our review of this request were submitted with letters from Ms. Stepanek.

We have completed our review of the submitted data and the flood data shown on the effective FIRM
and in the effective FIS report. We have revised the FIRM and FIS report to modifY the elevations and
floodplain and floodway boundary delineations of the flood having a I-percent chance of being equaled
or exceeded in any given year (base flood) along City Park Channel. We also have revised the FIRM to
modifY the elevations and floodplain boundary delineations of the base flood along the split-flow area
north of West 120th Avenue. As a result of the modifications, the Base Flood Elevations (BFEs) for City
Park Channel and the width of the regulatory floodway increased in some areas and decreased in other
areas, and the width of the Special Flood Hazard Area (SFHA), the area that would be inundated by the
base flood, decreased. Also as a result of the modifications, the BFEs and the width of the SFHA for the
split-flow area increased in some areas and decreased in other areas. The modifications are shown on the
enclosed annotated copies of FIRM Panel 0020 E, Profile Panel 15P, and affected portions of the
Floodway Data Table. Please note that there are no flood profiles or regulatory floodway for the
split-flow area. This Letter of Map Revision (LOMR) hereby revises the abov",-referenced panel of the
effective FIRM and the affected portions of the FIS report, both dated September 30, 1997.
