Raub Company at the request of the Board <br />of County commissioners of Douglas County, the Urban Drainage and <br />Flood Control District, and the Mission Viejo Company; and <br /> <br />WHERE;J.\$, said ,report descr~besand, outlil).es thet;loodplain <br />data and information for the storm,and floodwater runoff channels <br />orbasin$ ,of the ,study area; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners ,of Douglas County <br />has requested the Colorado Water Conservation Board to designate <br />and approve the floodplain areas as set forth in the aforesaid <br />report; and <br /> <br />) <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br />1973, requires <br />the prevention <br /> <br />Section 37-60-106(1), Colorado Revised Statutes <br />the Colorado Water Conservation Board to assist in <br />of floods and flood damages therefrolll; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Sections 31-23-301 and 30-28-111, Colorado Revised <br />Statutes ,1973, provide that such legislative bodies of local <br />jurisdictions may provide zoning regulations for land uses on or <br />along any storm or floodwater runoff channel or basin only after <br />designation and approval by the Colorado Water Conservation <br />Board; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Section 37-60-106(1)(c), Colorado Revised Statutes <br />1973, directs the Colorado 'Water Conservation Board to designate <br />and approve storm or floodwater runoff channels or basins and to <br />make - such designati(!)Us available to legislative bodies of local <br />jurisdictions; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the staff of the Board has ~eviewed said report and <br />does hereby recommend to the Colorado. Water' Conservation Board <br />that the Board designate and approve as floodplain areas those <br />areas inundated by a 100-year flood (intermediate regional flood) <br />as described by the floodwater surface elevations and profiles in <br />said report; <br /> <br />128 <br />res/220 <br />
