This report was prepared by the CWCB in order to assist local allicials at the City of Rilk at
the Town of Parachute, at Garfield County, at the Town of Dellcqu<:, at the Town of Palisade,
at the City of Grand Junction, at the City of Fruita and at Mt:iXI County in their floodplain
managementactivitics. The report delineates the SO-yearund lOO-year floodpluins for the reach
of the Colorado River mainslem from Rifle downstream to the Utah-Colorado state linc. The
reportallowsintcrcstcdparticstodderminepreliminarilywhetherpartieularsitesare in the 50-
year and lOO-yem lloodplain of the O,lorado River.

(References 5, 6. 7, & 8). Although the To,>,'O of DeBeque is located along the Colorado River.
the DeBeque FlS did not provide any lloodplain information for the Colorado River. It is simply
listed for information purpnSCS.
