<br />WHEREAS, Resolution No. 354.16 did not rescind any portion of Resolution No. 43; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Federal Emergency Management Agency completed a floodplain information e <br />map entitled "Flood Insurance Rate Map, Las Animas County, Colorado, Unincorporated Areas" on <br />April 3, 1984; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said map includes detailed floodplain information for stream reaches within the <br />unincorporated portions of Las Animas County, as they were on April 3, 1984, only; and <br /> <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Colorado Water Conservation Board has not designated and approved said map; <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a new detailed floodplain map entitled "Flood Insurance Rate Map, City of <br />Trinidad, Colorado, Las Animas County", dated April 3, 1984, was prepared by the Federal Emergency <br />Management Agency; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said new map contains detailed floodplain delineations for the following streams, <br />within the corporate limits of the City of Trinidad, as they were on April 3, 1984, only: <br /> <br />Purgatoire River, <br />Prospect Canyon, <br />Pinon Canyon, <br />Portland A venue Canyon, and <br />Fishers Peak Arroyo; <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said new map revised, on the basis of corrections to the corporate limits of the City <br />of Trinidad and annexations to the City of Trinidad only, the detailed floodplain delineations shown on <br />the Flood Insurance Rate Map included in Resolution No. 354.16; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the detailed floodplain delineations included on said new map for the City of <br />Trinidad and on said undesignated map for unincorporated Las Animas County were prepared directly <br />from the detailed floodplain information contained in Resolutions Nos. 88 and 94-354.16, with <br />modifications to the corporate limits of the City of Trinidad only, and are therefore consistent with <br />Resolutions Nos. 88 and 94-354.16 with regard to water surface elevations; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the detailed floodplain delineation shown on said new map for the City of Trinidad <br />is entirely consistent with the detailed floodplain delineation shown on the undesignated Flood Insurance <br />Rate Map for unincorporated Las Animas County, dated April 3, 1984; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Trinidad, Colorado, has requested the Colorado Water Conservation <br />Board to designate and approve the floodplains set forth on the aforesaid new map; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Section 37-60-106(1)(c), Colorado Revised Statutes, requires the Colorado Water <br />Conservation Board to assist in the prevention of floods and flood damages therefrom; and <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />2 <br />
