Thomas, P,E.,
Vice President, Martin/Martin, requested lhat FEMA revise the FIRM 10 show the effects of the Mesa
Meadows Subdivision Phase III project along Cressmans Gulch and Cressmans Gulch Old Channel. The
project includes construclion of a lrapezoidal channel with a concrete bollom and riprap- or Geoweb-lined
sides from Wyoming Slreet to State Highway 93 (SH93), lwo 66-inch-diameler reinforced-concrele pipe
(RCP) culverts under SH93, and a 90-inch-diameter RCP culvert that increases to 96 inches in diameter
under Pine Ridge Drive. The revised reach of Cressmans Gulch extends from Wyoming Street to
approximately 600 feet upstream of SH93.

All dala required to complete our review of lhis request were submilled with lellers from Mr. Thomas,

We have completed our review oflhe submilled data and lhe flood dala shown on the effective FIRM. We
have revised the FIRM to modity lhe elevations, floodplain boundary delineations, and zone designations
of the flood having a I-percent chance of being equaled or exceeded in any given year (base flood) along
the revised reach of Cressmans Gulch. As a result of the project, lhe base flood discharges from
Cressmans Gulch and Cressmans Gulch Old Channel are contained within a single channel from Wyoming
Street to SH93, In addilion, the base flood elevations (BFEs) for the revised reach increased, and the width
of lhe Special Flood Hazard Area (SFHA), the area that would be inundated by the base flood, increased
in some areas and decreased in other areas. The modifications are shown on the enclosed annotated copy
of FIRM Panel(s) 0165 B, This Leller of Map Revision (LOMR) hereby revises the above-referenced
panel(s) of the effective FIRM dated August 5, 1986.

Because this revision request also affects lhe City of Golden, a separate LOMR for that community was
issued on the same date as this LOMR.

The modifications are effective as of lhe date shown above, The map panel(s) as lisled above and as
modified by this leller will be used for all flood insurance policies and renewals issued for your community,
