'

Select Options to modify the analysis period,: skew method, and whether or not to include
urban or regulated peaks. The initial default values for the dates are based on the available
period of record. The initial default for the skew computation option is weighted between sta-
tion and generalized skews (WTD), with the other options being STAtion and GENeralized.
By default, urban and regulated peaks are no( included. When processing data from a WDM
file, peakfq wiJI save these options and they wiJI be provided as the data sets defaults for future
analyses. The first column in the table is infotmational and cannot be modified.

In the example, the Begin and End years wer~ modified to correspond to the dates used in the
Bulletin 17B report. The skew computation option remained as WeighTeD and urban and reg-
ulated peaks were not included (the default values.)

Modify (M)

PEAKfQ 2.

Select a Modify option:

tmmIlII
Skew
Histortc
low
Base

- analysts perio~~ skew methods, qualification codes
- user defined skew an~ standard error
- return period and dl~charge threshold
- outlier criteria i
- gage discharge i

- to Opening screen

Return

STATU
Data from WDN file tost.wdm
5 data seta in the buffer
Output to file bull17b.out

INSTRUCT

Select an option U81n~ arrow keys
then confirm selection wfth the F2 key, or
Type the first letter ~f' an option.

Help:1D Accept:1i Status:1I Quiet:1W CmhJp

Options (MO)

PEAKFQ 2.

Station Begin
1.0. year

End
year

Skew
, compo
opt.

Include
urban-
regulated
peake?

01373500
06600500
01614000
11274500
03339500

1945
1935
1929
1932
1913

1968
1973
1973
1973
1mZ;

WID
WID
WTD
WTD
WTD

NO
NO
NO
NO
NO

STATU
Data from WDM file teet.wdm
5 data sets in the buffer
Output to file bull17b.out

INSTRUCT

Enter data in hiBhlight~d field(e).
Use carriage return or arrow ke~e to ent.r data and move between fields.
Use ~Accept' command to go to next scteen when done entering data.
Help:1D Accept:1I Limits:~ Status:mI Quiet:~ Cmhlp Oops Window Uppg
;

PEAKFQ

49

DRAFT .1130/98
