Massive Lakes <br />Native Lake <br />Rainbow Lake <br />Slide Lake <br />Timberline Lake <br />Turquoise Lake <br />Twin Lakes Reservoir <br />Unnamed Ponds and Depressions (several) <br />West Tennessee Lakes <br />Windsor Lake; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the hydrology information for the approximate floodplains for streams in <br />said new report with included mapping has been estimated in accordance with the Guidelines <br />for Determining lOO-Year Flood Flows for Approximate Floodplains; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the lOO-year flow for said streams, which have drainage areas greater than <br />or equal to 4 square miles and less than or equal to 330 square miles, is estimated by utilizing <br />the regression equation for Arkansas River Basin Subregion 6, Ql00 = 45.98 * (A)O.717, where <br />Ql00 is the lOO-year peak flow in cubic feet per second and A is the upstream (contributing) <br />drainage area in square miles; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a procedure for determining hydrology information in Lake County for <br />approximate floodplains of streams with drainage areas less than 4 square miles or greater than <br />330 square miles, lakes, ponds, and local drainage areas has not been established by the <br />Guidelines for Determining IOO-year Flows for Approximate Floodplains; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the streams with drainage areas less than 4 square miles or greater than 330 <br />square miles, lakes, ponds, and local drainage areas may be designated as approximate <br />floodplain infor1lliltion without a procedure for estimating lOO-year peak flows, as long as the <br />local government understands and agrees that a detailed hydrologic and hydraulic study is <br />required prior to any floodplain development; and <br /> <br />4 <br />
