6.0 OTHER STUDIES

The COE, Kansas City District, completed analyses of the 10-, 50-, 100-,
and SO a-year floods for the North Fork Republican River throughout most
of Yuma County. This information was published in a Flood Plain Infor-
mation Report in November 1981 (Reference I). Data used in this Flood
Insurance Study were taken from that Flood Plain Information Report.

An older Flood Plain Information Report for the North Fork Republican
River at Wray, Colorado, was prepared by the COE in 1969 (Reference 10).
In that report, the lOa-year water-surface profile for the North Fork
Republican River through the City of Wray was approximately 2.5 feet
higher than the lOa-year water-surface profile used in the present study.
The earlier water-surface profile was based on 1968 flood plain conditions
and la-foot contour mapping. The present water-surface profile reflects
existing conditions and 2-foot contour mapping, and will supersede the
profile in the previous COE report.

A Flood Hazard
(Reference ll).
Boundary Map.

Boundary Map has been published for the City of Wray
The results of this study supersede the Flood Hazard

This study is authoritative for purposes of the NFIP; data presented
herein either supersede or are compatible with all previous determinations.

7.0 LOCATION OF DATA

Information concerning the pertinent data used in the preparation of
this study can be obtained by contacting the Natural and Technological
Hazards Division, FEMA, Building 710, Denver Federal Center, Lakewood,
Colorado 80225.

8.0 BIBLIOGRAPHY AND REFERENCES

1. u.S.
