<br />I <br />I <br />, <br /> <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />The ml.nl.mum horizontal separation between storm sewers or sanitary <br />sewers and water lines will be 10 feet. <br /> <br />6.6 pipe size <br /> <br />The minimum allowable pipe size for storm sewers, except for <br />detention outlets, shall be 18 inches in diameter and shall be <br />round pipe. Table 6-1 presents the minimum pipe size for storm <br />sewers. <br /> <br />6.7 Manholes <br /> <br />Manholes or maintenance access ports shall be required whenever <br />there is a change in size, direction, elevation, grade, or where <br />there is a junction of two or more sewers. A manhole may be <br />required at the beginning and/or at the end of the curved section <br />of storm sewer. The maximum spacing between manholes for various <br />pipe sizes shall be in accordance with Table 6-1. <br /> <br />The required manhole size shall be as follows: <br /> <br /> MAlllIOLB SUB <br />Sewer Diameter Manhole Diameter <br />15" to 18" 4 I <br />21" to 30" 5' <br />36" to 54" 6' <br />60" and laraer CDOT Standard M-604-20 and M-604-21 <br /> <br />Larger manhole diameters or a junction structure may be required <br />when sewer alignments are not straight through or more than one <br />sewer line goes through the manhole. <br /> <br />6.8 Maintenance and Access Basements <br /> <br />An important aspect of storm sewer operation is the continued <br />maintenance of the facilities to ensure that they will continue to <br />function as designed. Maintenance may include cleaning of trash <br />racks, inlet and outlet structures, and the removal of sediment and <br />debris from the storm sewers. The City requires that maintenance <br />access be provided to all storm drainage facilities.
