We were asked to investigate four items: <br />1. An improved inlet to the existing Colorado 8. Southern (C8.S) Ratlroad concrete <br />arch culvert. <br />Z. The new outflow characterIstIcs of the recently completed Ketner Reservoir <br />spillway improvements. <br />3. The inclusion of storage upstream of the C8.S ral1 road. <br />4. The effects of Items I, Z, and 3 on the hydrographs and peak discharge rates <br />upstream of the C8.S Ral1road and the resultIng water surface prof11es between <br />the ral1road and Standley Lake. <br /> <br />1973 study <br /> <br />The 1973 stUdy Is entitled 'BIg Dry Creek Preliminary Design.' The study was com- <br /> <br />pleted by the firm of Wright-McLaughlin Engineers in March 1973 for the Urban <br /> <br />Drainage and Flood Control DistrIct (UD8.FCD), the city of Westminster, Adams <br /> <br />County, and Jefferson County. <br /> <br />1986 Study <br /> <br />The 1986 stUdy is entItled 'Flood Hazard Area Delineation, Big Dry Creek.' The study <br /> <br />was completed by the firm of Greiner Engineering In November 1986 for the UD8.FCD. <br /> <br />The floodplain defined in this 1986 stUdy In the vIcinity of the Bruchez property Is <br /> <br />shown on sheets 6 and 7 of 83 at the back of this report. <br /> <br />Sources of 1nformeUon <br />Several sources of informatIon were used during the course of thIs stUdy In addition <br />
