<br />WHEREAS, Simons, Li & Associates, under contract with the
<br />Federal Emergency Management 1'.gency, completed on January 3,
<br />1986, a report entitled "Flood Insurance Study, Garfield
<br />County, Colorado, Uriincorporateq Areas"; and
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, said report included
<br />information for Alkali Creek; and
<br />
<br />detailed
<br />
<br />floodplain
<br />
<br />WHEREAS,
<br />req~ested by
<br />January 16,
<br />described in
<br />
<br />the Colorado ~ater Conservation Board, as
<br />Garfield County, by Resolution No. 246, adopted
<br />1986, designated and approved the floodplains
<br />said report; and
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, a new report entitled "Flood Plain Management
<br />Study, 'Colorado River Tribut~ries, Porcupine Creek, Beaver
<br />Creek, Mamm Creek, Dry Hollo~ Creek, Divide Creek, Garfield
<br />Creek, Alkali Creek, South C~nyon Creek, Canyon Creek, Elk
<br />Creek," which includes detailed floodplain information for
<br />Porcupine Creek, Beaver Creek, Mamm Creek, Dry Hollow Creek,
<br />Divide Creek, West Divide Cr~ek, East Divide Creek, Jackson
<br />Gulch, Garfield Creek, Alkali Creek, South Canyon Creek, Canyon
<br />Creek ; Elk: Creek, unnamed tribUtary to Elk Cre-ek, arid Eas tElk
<br />Creek, dated July, 1986, has been prepared by the U.S. Soil
<br />Conservation Service at the request of the Town of New Castle
<br />and Garfield County; and
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, said new report
<br />detailed floodplain information
<br />runoff channels or basins of the
<br />
<br />describes and
<br />for the storm
<br />study area; and
<br />
<br />outlines the
<br />and floodwater
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, the Town of New Castle and Garfield County have
<br />requested the Colorado Water Conservation Board to designate
<br />and approve the floodplain areas as.set forth in the aforesaid
