This Special Flood Plain Information Report presents the
results of a flood plain study of the Big Thompson River and
tributaries in unincorporated Larimer County. The study limits
begin above Loveland, Colorado, near Mariana Butte and extend
to Lake Estes near Estes Park on the main stream and to above
Glen Haven, Colorado, on the North Fork. The report was
prepared, following the disastrous flood of July 31, 1976, to
assist the local officials with the redevelopment effort in the
canyon.
