This appeal was filed by
Costin Engineering for Medema Homes, owners of the'subject property.
The site in question covers approximately 79 acres, and is known as
Oakbrook Subdivision, Filing No.2.

After consideration of the evidence presented at the public hearing,
the Planning Commission voted to approve the appeal. The specific
motion adopted was:

"That the appeal to the designation of the South
Fork of Lee Gulch as a 100-year floodplain be
approved, and that the Commission finds that there
is not sufficient depth of flow, rate of discharge,
or drainage basin area to justify such designation.
Further, ... that the City Staff request the
appropriate actions of the Colorado Water Conservation
Board to amend their designation. "

As the result of the Commission'S action, therefore, the City formally
requests that the Board review the attached data, and respectfully
requests that designation of a lOO-year floodplain on the South Fork
of Lee Gulch be rescinded. May I suggest that technical questions be
directed to Mr. Bill Miller, Costin Engineering, 1590 S.Acoma Street,
Denver; telephone number 744-7084. Please do not hesitate to contact
me concerning procedural matters.

prompt attention to this request.

JVP: bgw

r, _)L~,f:.(?J"""'.(( "',11
I ~ .
