The general flow dil:ecti.on of both Boxelder
Cr'eek and Cooper Slough in the vicinity of the planned
interchange is from north to south. The Larimer-Weld
irrigation canal is a major irrigation facility located
south of the planned interchange having water rights on the
order of 721 CFS. It trends from west to e~ast and crosses
under Interstate Highway 25 approximate!!y 2000 feet. south of
Larimer County Road 50.

2. ~E~YIQllS_E~~QE~S

Major drainageway planning and flood hazard area delineation
studies for Boxelder Creek between Lar.imer County Road 50
and the poudre River and Cooper Slough between Vine Drive
and the poudre River were completed in August of 1981.
(Reference 1).
