The water furnished pursuant to this agreement shall be used by the Board for minimum <br /> <br />streamflow purposes in the IS-mile reach to preserve the natural environment to a reasonable <br /> <br />degree. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />c. The Service and the Board will use the water released under this MOA only for the purposes <br /> <br /> <br />specified in Articles 6.a. and 6.b. above herein. No lease, sale, donation, or other disposal of any <br /> <br /> <br />of the water provided pursuant to this MOA will be permitted. The Service and the Board shall <br /> <br /> <br />not compromise, subjugate, or encumber the water released in any manner whatsoever. <br /> <br />d. Reclamation, the Service, and the Board agree that the Grand Valley Water Users Association <br /> <br />and Orchard Mesa Irrigation District may divert the water through the headgate of the <br /> <br />Government Highline Canal of the Grand Valley Project and may use that water for generation of . <br /> <br />power at the Grand Valley Powerplant of the Grand Valley Project, so long as that water is <br /> <br />returned to the Colorado River either over the Grand Valley Irrigation Company's diversion dam <br /> <br />or under the radial gates at the check structure below the Grand Valley Powerplant. <br /> <br />7. RIGHTS RESERVED <br /> <br />a. Reclamation reserves the right to supply the water from water which has been lawfully stored <br /> <br />in priority in storage reservoirs other than Ruedi Reservoir; Provided, however, that releases <br /> <br />from alternate storage reservoirs shall be in conformity with the water rights decrees for such <br /> <br />. 12 <br /> <br />. <br />
