<br />~ <br /> <br />. 1 WHEREAS, Chuck Lile served on several state and interstate /' <br />2 organizations including the Arkansas River Compact Administration, the <br /> 3 Upper Colorado River COCfcact Commission as alternate commissioner, <br /> 4 the Western States Water ouncil, the Colorado River Salinity Control <br /> 5 Forum, and the Colorado Groundwater Commission; and <br /> 6 WHEREAS, Chuck Lile concluded his official career in Jvra of <br /> 7 1998 after serving nearly six years as the Director of the Colorado ater <br /> 8 Conservation Board; and <br /> 9 WHEREAS, Chuck Lile was also very involved in community <br /> 10 projects, including such organizations as the Rotary Club, running clubs, <br /> 11 school boards, church groups, and youth sl'orts, all of which <br /> 12 demonstrated his deep and abiding affection for Colorado and its people; <br /> 13 and <br /> 14 WHEREAS, Chuck Lile spent his entire professional career <br /> 15 working for water users in the State of Colorado and now his memory <br /> 16 deserves their gratitude and deep appreciation for his skill, insight, ana <br /> 17 leadership; now, therefore, <br /> 18 Be It Resolved by the Senate of the Sixty-second GeneralAssembly <br /> 19 of the State of Colorado, the House of Representatives concurring herein: <br /> 20 That, in the death of Daries Charles "Chuck" Lile, the people of <br />. 21 the State of Colorado have lost a devoted public servant and an <br />22 outstanding citizen and that we, the members of t1ie sixp;-second General (~ <br />23 Assembly, pay tribute to Chuck Lile for his hears 0 dedicated public <br /> 24 service and do hereby extend our deep and eartfelt sympathy to the <br /> 25 members of his family. <br /> 26 Be It Further Resolved, That copies ofthis resolution be sent to <br /> 27 Chuck Lile's wife, Leesa Lile, his sons Chip Lile and Chris Lile, his <br /> 28 daughter Carrie Lile, all of Durango, Colorado, and his mother Merle <br /> 29 Lile, of Pueblo, Colorado. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />'- <br /> <br />-2- <br />
