The Tunnel Water Company operates the <br />collection system and tunnel to supply water to 2 major shareholders, the Water Supply and Storage <br />Company and the Windsor Reservoir and Canal Company. Water is used for irrigation within the 100,000- <br />acre service area. A portion of the tunnel collapsed in May 29.2000. cutting off water deliveries. The <br />Company needs to rehabilitate the tunnel prior to the 2001 irrigation season. The average annual volume <br />diverted is 15,085 acre-feet. The Tunnel Water Company is a mutual ditch company and a nonprofit <br />corporation registered in the State of Colorado. Don Deere, P.E. of Rocky Mountain Consultants has <br />completed preliminary engineering plans and a COst estimate. John Van Sciver, P.E., CWCS staff, is . <br />completing the feasibility study with input from the Company and their engineer.
