The
surface diversions within this reach of stream total 8 cfs, All of the stream diversions within this
reach of stream are junior in priority to senior diversions totaling 17,89 cfs, which are located
downstream of Wilson Creek (see Senior Fourmile Creek Senior Water Rights in Appendix D),
However, there maybe times when the downstream senior water rights are not calling water
through this reach of stream, this may allow the upstream junior water rights to deplete some
parts of this stream reach, In addition, it maybe possible for upstream junior water rights to
divert water, depleting some parts of the stream reach before their irrigation return flows return
to the stream. Based on this analysis staff has determined that water should be available for
appropriation on Fourmile Creek, between Felch and Wilson Creeks, to preserve the natural
environment to a reasonable degree without limiting or foreclosing the exercise of valid existing
water rights,

CWCS Staff's Instream Flow Recommendation
Staff recommends the Board form its intent to appropriate on the following steam reach:

Stream: Fourmile Creek
Water Division: 2
Watershed: Fourmile Creek
Counties: Fremont
Upper Terminus: Felch Creek at (Latitude 380 32' 35") (Longitude 1050 13' 13")
Lower Terminus: Wilson Creek at (Latitude 380 30' 11") (Longitude 1050 12' 30")
Counties: Fremont
Length: 3,3 Miles
USGS Quad(s): Cooper Mountain
Flow Recommendation: 9,50 cfs (April 15'h - October 14th)
5,00 cfs (October 15'h - April 14'h)

Fourmilcfelch_ wilson_lSF _RPT
Last printed 01/07/00 2:43 PM
