I

I

7175

COLORADO WATER CONSERVATION BOARD MEETING MINUTES
Columbine Country Club
Littleton, Colorado

July 14, 1971

The meeting was called to order by Mr. Stapleton,
Chairman, at 9:00 A.M.

NR. STAPLETON:

"We will call this regularly scheduled
meeting of the Colorado Water Conservation
Board to order.

The first order of business is that our
Vice-Chairman, Mr. Fred Kroeger from Durango,
was unable to be here. He states, 'If it meets
with the approval of the board, I would like to
have ~~. Archie Toner attend as my proxy.' In
accordance with our usual custom, is there any
objection Mr. Toner serving as proxy at this
meeting? Apparently none. Archie, we are glad
to have you with us."

MR. TONER:

"Thank you, Ben."

l1R. STAPLETON:

"Usually we meet and the same old faces are
always there. We have a lot of new ones today,
so I will introduce myself and then the members
of the board. My name is Benjamin F. Stapleton
and I am the Denver representative on the Colorado
Water Conservation Board and at the pleasure of
the members of the board am currently serving as
chairman. Mr. Jimmy Geissinger, will you please
stand so they can see you. He is assistant
attorney general representing the attorney general
at all these meetings. Next, is Mr. Clarence Burr,
a board member of long standing from Walden.
Next to him, Mr. Si Berthelson from the western
slope, Rio Blanco. Archie Toner representing the
Durango area. Quincy Cornelius from Hooper,
Colorado. Larry Sparks, who is our director.
Lee Ford from Montrose and Hugh Pickrel from
Rocky Ford.
