<br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />7175 <br /> <br />COLORADO WATER CONSERVATION BOARD MEETING MINUTES <br />Columbine Country Club <br />Littleton, Colorado <br /> <br />July 14, 1971 <br /> <br />The meeting was called to order by Mr. Stapleton, <br />Chairman, at 9:00 A.M. <br /> <br />NR. STAPLETON: <br /> <br />"We will call this regularly scheduled <br />meeting of the Colorado Water Conservation <br />Board to order. <br /> <br />The first order of business is that our <br />Vice-Chairman, Mr. Fred Kroeger from Durango, <br />was unable to be here. He states, 'If it meets <br />with the approval of the board, I would like to <br />have ~~. Archie Toner attend as my proxy.' In <br />accordance with our usual custom, is there any <br />objection Mr. Toner serving as proxy at this <br />meeting? Apparently none. Archie, we are glad <br />to have you with us." <br /> <br />MR. TONER: <br /> <br />"Thank you, Ben." <br /> <br />l1R. STAPLETON: <br /> <br />"Usually we meet and the same old faces are <br />always there. We have a lot of new ones today, <br />so I will introduce myself and then the members <br />of the board. My name is Benjamin F. Stapleton <br />and I am the Denver representative on the Colorado <br />Water Conservation Board and at the pleasure of <br />the members of the board am currently serving as <br />chairman. Mr. Jimmy Geissinger, will you please <br />stand so they can see you. He is assistant <br />attorney general representing the attorney general <br />at all these meetings. Next, is Mr. Clarence Burr, <br />a board member of long standing from Walden. <br />Next to him, Mr. Si Berthelson from the western <br />slope, Rio Blanco. Archie Toner representing the <br />Durango area. Quincy Cornelius from Hooper, <br />Colorado. Larry Sparks, who is our director. <br />Lee Ford from Montrose and Hugh Pickrel from <br />Rocky Ford. <br />
