Does anybody in, the .audience wish to questions Mr. Weller? (NO response.)
Thank you very much, Mr. Weller.

MR. WELLER: Thank you.

MR. KROEGER: I think we have someone here representing. Eagle. Mr.
Andrews.

I

. .
MR. ANDREWS: Mr. Chairman and members of the Board, my name is.
Richard Andrews. Town Manager of Eagle. Colorado. I would like to
make a brief statement stating that the Town Board has reviewed our
application to the Colorado Water Conservation Board and is 100 per-
cent behind that application. In both letter form and resolution
form, it indicated that we. are supporting the project application that
we have made at this time.

I would like to introduce Mr. Frank Barrett, who is with Wright-
McLaughlin Engineers, to basically review the project with you.
then both of us would be happy to respond to questions that you
have.

And
may

, ..
MR. BARRETT: Eagle's existing population is about 1,250 People. Their
existing diversion is about 9 miles upstream of Eagle on Brush Creek.
They have pro~lems with their existing transmission line. Which has
some serious leaks. They have an existing treatment plant.. which is
subject to high turbidity in the springtime; and the process is a
rather inappropriate process and does pot operate either economically
or. actually. Their existing distribution system is quite old and
has some leakage problems. Their storage is inadequate .for fire pro-
tection. They will be experiencing some very rapid growth potentially
with some. recreational development in the area.

Their total project, the first phase, is $538,000; and they have begun
this with a $IOO,OOO improvement program on their existing distribu-
tion system. They hope to continue with it with improvements in the
treatment and storage.

If any of you have questions, I would be glad to answer them.

MR. KROEGER: Are there any que~tions?

MR. JACKSON: The same question, sir. Are meters a part of your
project?

MR. ANDREWS: We are about :90 percent metered at the present time.
We are taking care of the other 2 percent.

MR. KROEGER: Does anyone else have a question of Mr. Barrett or
Mr. Andrews?

I

MR. SPARKS: Mr. Andrews, can you give us an idea of the growth pic-
ture in the town of Eagle?

MR. ANDREWS: I would be happy to. In 1970, our population was 790.

-4-
