Floodplain Information Report, Colorado River Mainstem from Rifle to the Utah <br />Stateline, Volwne IV, dated March 1995 - approval of Floodplain Information <br />Resolution No. 95-404 <br />These floodplain information reports were discussed at the CWCB's May meeting and a <br />recommendation was made to proceed with Board approval and designation under Rule 9.D.2, <br />"Consideration at the Board's Initiative". By letter dated July 24, 1995, the staffhas notified <br />the affected local governments of the Board's proposed approval and designation action. <br /> <br />5. Easement (Special-Use) Requests from private parties within the CWCB South Platte River Right-of <br />Way (10:15 - 10:30) <br /> <br />a. Pitchers Restaurant, Littleton <br />b. Mr. Wiggins' drainage system into the South Platte River Channel Project <br />These requests were discussed at the Board's July 24,1995 meeting. Presentations were made <br />regarding the usages by private parties of State lands. The staff has been in communication <br />with the Office of the Attorney General to determine if there is a viable means of serving both <br />state and developer interests. <br /> <br />6. Proposed Position (Resolution) of the Colorado Water Conservation Board concerning <br />the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Federal Emergency Management Agency, and Natural <br />Resource Conservation Service regarding statewide and local government floodplain policy and <br />projects (10:30 - 10:50) <br /> <br />Chuck Lile and Larry Lang have held discussions with various agencies and organizations <br />regarding the proposed changes in federal flood programs and have discovered that there is much <br />concern regarding these changes in federal policy and program guidelines in the administration of <br />the State's floodplains. The attached resolution is presented to the Board for action as a means <br />of extending our needs and choices to Washington D.C. and our Congressional Delegation. <br /> <br />7.
