well. The project sponsors have again taken the initiative to secure funding from various
sources including their association for the repair efforts. The repair efforts, which
included the removal and redistribution of cobble material from within and below project
structures and the resetting of some rock used in the structures, have now been
completed. In many respects the project area looks as good if not better than the original
project.

Dolores River Dialogue Update: The Dolores River Dialogue is a process involving
water users, environmental groups, recreational interests, and local, state and federal
agencies. The Dialogue was formed to explore the possibilities of better managing the
water resources in the Dolores River Basin to everyone's benefit. At the last update a
Core Science Group had been formed to look into the river system below McPhee
Reservoir from a fishery; both warm and cold water species, stream channel
geomorphology, and environmental perspective. Much of the field investigations have
been completed and the Dialogue's Technical Team is now attempting to put this
information into a matrix format for presentation to the Dialogue Group as a whole. It is
anticipated that the Dialogue Group as a whole will review these efforts in the late fall of
2005.

If you would like additional information on this project, please contact the Dolores Water
Conservancy District, 60 S. Therefore, beginning Wednesday,
June 22nd, releases were ramped down. The schedule called for releases to be decreased
to 1,300 cfs on Wednesday; 800 cfs on Thursday, and 500 cfs on Friday. This provided
lower flows to aid in the search over the weekend and will also concluded the ramp-down
from the spring peak release. Releases have remained at 500 cfs since that date.

Navajo Reservoir Operations Meeting: A public meeting on Navajo Reservoir
operations will be held on August 18 in Farmington, New Mexico.
